Common questions
How do I send a grocery blast?
Tap Send a Blast on the Home tab. Pick the family members you want to include, type a short prompt (or use the default), and tap send. Each person gets a text from your family's CartCast number. They reply by SMS — no app needed on their end.
Do family members need to install CartCast?
No. Only you need the app. Everyone you shop for replies to texts the way they normally would.
What's the difference between Free and Premier?
Free includes 2 blasts per week, your personal list, store comparison, and purchase history. CartCast Premier ($4.99/month) adds unlimited blasts, remote orders for family at different addresses, AI meal expansion, full purchase history, and unlimited contributors.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Open iPhone Settings → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → CartCast → Cancel Subscription.
A family member doesn't want to get texts anymore.
They can reply STOP to any CartCast text and they'll be opted out automatically. You can also remove them entirely from Manage → My Family → tap their row → Remove from family.
How do remote orders work?
Premier members can place pickup orders for family at a different address — college students, parents in another state, anyone you shop for who's not at home. Open the Remote tab, tap their card, build their list, and place the order at a store near them. They can text in items at any time.
Which stores does CartCast support?
Pickup orders with full cart visibility: Walmart and Kroger. Direct deeplink to the store's own site for: Target, Stop & Shop, HEB, Publix, Wegmans. Instacart-powered for: Costco, BJ's, Shaw's, Whole Foods, Aldi. The exact stores you see in CartCast depend on what's near your home address.
Why didn't an AI parse return what I expected?
CartCast's AI flags vague items ("the usual snacks") and inside-references ("more of that cheese mom likes") so you can clarify them via a follow-up text. Tap any flagged item to clarify, or just edit it directly.
How do I export my data?
Email support@cartcast.app from the address on your CartCast account and we'll send you a copy of your data within 7 days.
How do I delete my account?
Email support@cartcast.app and we'll permanently delete your account and associated data within 30 days. If you're a Premier subscriber, cancel through Apple first (see above).
